Nov. 22 - Rose M. Fox, 51, of Mendota died Nov. 18, 2005 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mendota with Rev. Joseph Dondanville and Rev. James Kruse officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.

Mrs. Fox was born Jan. 2, 1954 in Chicago to John and Joan (O’Malley) O’Brien. She married Randy Fox on Sept. 11, 1976 at Holy Cross Church in Mendota.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Kate of Mendota; three sons, Sean, Michael and Brian, all of Mendota; her mother, Joan O’Brien Ward of Harty, Ark.; four brothers, Michael (Angie) O’Brien of Freeport, Pat (Sue) O’Brien of St. Charles, Mo., John (Renee) O’Brien of Lake St. Louis, Mo. and Larry (Renae) O’Brien of West Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Jean O’Brien of Harty, Ark.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and two children in infancy.

Mrs. Fox was a 1972 graduate of Mendota High School and attended IVCC. She was a member of Holy Cross Church. She was a nurturing mother to her children and to her extended families' children.
