The new Mendota High School was completed in the fall of 2002. After a three week shutdown over Christmas to move equipment and supplies, classes began in the new building on January 14, 2003.

The new building is located on 50 acres off US Route 52 North West of Mendota. The rear grounds (and future football field and track) are adjacent to the Lake Kakusha park.

Project cost is roughly $25,000,000.
